There is a radio program called the Loveline which helps those who listen or call in, deal with things such as relationship issues or even medical issues. It is hosted by Dr. Drew pinsky and Mike Catherwood. I have only heard of this program but never listened but many line up to call in to get there questions answered and many more are faithful listeners I am sure.
Why did I bring that up? Well I was pondering what a love line would look like. At my house the love line consist of 4 cats who love to line up in the mornings to get loved on. A couple will come to me and want me to pick them up and just hold them like a baby while they purr and I rub their bellies and scratch their chins, one loves to lay flat on his back and just let me pet him while he purrs and one will only line up for love from my husband and he has to be petted in a special way. He does not want to be picked up at all and will bite or scratch us if we even try but what he does love is to be rubbed with my husbands feet. Yes he apparently has a foot fetish. After a few minutes of rubbing against his feet this cat will then get enough and try to bite my husbands leg. What a weird bunch of cats we have. They all want to be loved but in their own special way. Eventually they all will go off to their favorite sleeping spots and dream the day away until dinner time. Except for one of them! He continually follows me and wants my attention and love. Where I go he follows! This cat needs more love and attention than any animal I have ever had. Sometimes I feel that way too!
That made me think of my relationship with God. In the mornings when I rise give me Jesus! Yes, that is one of my favorite songs as well as a true statement for my life! You might say I line up for love from God in the morning! Then when I feel like I have had enough or time demands I move on to other things, I leave the line and face the world! I just could not imagine facing the world without getting in line for my love from the Lord early in my day.
What about you? Do you line up for anything? Maybe you are in line for a shower, or a cup of coffee, or the newspaper or a big breakfast. Those are all great things! However, I have found that my life has changed for the better since I line up for love from God first thing in the morning.
Do you need some love? Do you need some relationship advice? Do you need some medical advice? Do you need some positive changes in your life?
Try the loveline! Not the radio program but the God program! Let him give you advice and encouragement through time in His Word, the Bible.
Talk to him! Ask him questions! Read his Word! Wait on his answers! He loves you! Let Him love on you before you go out into the world and face the challenges and obstacles of the day. You won't regret it, I promise!
1 John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Father God,
Thank you that you are love and that we can get in the loveline every morning and get loved on. Help us to have a heart for love. Love from you first and then from others. Help us to search your Word for scriptures about love. Fill us up to overflowing so that we can overflow your love into the lives of hurting people. In Jesus name, Amen.

If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!! Someone I know received a letter and a sizable sum of money in the form of a check. The letter stated that this person had won a lottery and that they needed to call a phone number that was in the letter to receive instructions about receiving the rest of the funds. They were instructed in the letter to send all but a small portion of the money to a certain address which was to cover taxes. They were told once they did this they would receive the larger portion of their winnings. The check was a legitimate looking check and was drawn on a real bank and the payer was shown to be the Board of Commissioners of a large county in Georgia. This person that received the letter was elated because they were facing some hard financial times and they thought their ship had come in for sure. After reading the letter and seeing the check, I was certain that this was a scam. The letter asked the person not to tell anyone else about this letter until they had followed all the instructions in the letter. I am so glad this person shared it with me. I immediately called the Board of Commissioners in this large county and spoke with the finance officer and found out the truth. The truth was that they are a government entity and would never be involved in any type of lottery. The finance officer stated that they had received other phone calls similar to mine and they could assure me that if my friend cashed this check that it would come back insufficient and my friend would be stuck with the loss. I shared this news with my friend and they still seemed doubtful. Their situation was so bad financially that they wanted to believe that a miracle had happened for them. I hated to be the bearer of bad news but later they thanked me for caring enough to find out the truth and to tell them the truth. I did this because I knew that this person was so desperate to get out of financial debt that they would just about do anything. I am so thankful that I was able to help them avoid a scam that would have caused them even more financial disaster.
There is someone that is available to help us and tell us the truth when we can be so easily deceived in this world. That someone is Jesus. He spent his time on earth speaking the truth but people sometimes did not believe him. He so wanted them to believe him that he even said to them many times, "I tell you the truth". It did not matter to some people what he said, they still doubted him. Where are you today? Are you facing some hard times financially, relationally, physically, emotionally? Could you use some truth in your situation? Well Jesus has written you a letter too. It is called the bible. This letter is not a scam letter telling you deceptive things to deceive you and resulting in injury to you. It is a love letter telling you everything that you need to know to help you get out of what ever troubles you are facing. This letter is true, true, true! How do I know? I know because I have called on the one who wrote the letter and found out that if I follow the instructions in the letter I will be blessed. I have tested and proved this letter to be true and accurate. God is not a man that he should lie. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through him.
What lies are you believing today? If you are in a situation that seems too good to be true, you need to find out if it is. The way to do that is by calling on the ONE who knows everything and can help you with anything. The ONE you need to call on is God!! You can call on him by praying to him in the name of Jesus and you can read the Bible and he will speak to you and tell you the truth about your situation. If it is in the bible, it is true, true, true!! Don't be scammed by the lies of the devil or someone who represents the devil. Be certain you know the truth. Make the call, read the letter!!
I am praying for my friend to call on God for the help that is needed for their financial troubles. I am also praying that this friend will stop looking to worldly things to help but look to the creator of all things (God) for the help that is needed. I also want to pray for you too. I will make the call for you just as I did for my friend! I hope that you will read the bible and allow the truth to speak to your heart and help you find the best way to overcome whatever troubles you may be facing today.
Dear God in heaven,
Thank you that you are the real deal. Thank you that you are NOT too good to be true. Thank you that you are good and that all that you speak is truth. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to speak truth to us and help us in our times of trouble. Thank you that he is available to us anytime through prayer and through his Word (the bible). Help me and my friends who are reading this prayer to call on you and read the truth in your Word and know that you speak the truth into their situations only to help them and not to scam them, deceive them, or hurt them. Help us all to stop looking for our ship to come in and look to you for our provisions, knowing that you love us and care for us and will provide all that we need. Thank you that your Word says in Phil. 4:19 that you will provide all our needs according to all your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Thank you that you have all that we need and we can ask you for help and receive it. We trust you because you are truth and you do not lie. We believe you and your Word are true, true, true!! In Jesus name, Amen.
