Mark 8:16-21
16At this they began to argue with each other because they hadn’t brought any bread. 17Jesus knew what they were saying, so he said, “Why are you arguing about having no bread? Don’t you know or understand even yet? Are your hearts too hard to take it in? 18‘You have eyes—can’t you see? You have ears—can’t you hear?’ Don’t you remember anything at all? 19When I fed the 5,000 with five loaves of bread, how many baskets of leftovers did you pick up afterward?”
“Twelve,” they said.
20“And when I fed the 4,000 with seven loaves, how many large baskets of leftovers did you pick up?”
“Seven,” they said.
21“Don’t you understand yet?” he asked them.
Jesus WILL provide all that you need. It doesn't matter how little you have or how much you need. HE WILL PROVIDE! Ask him to provide for your needs today and everyday. No matter how little you have in your hand or household or how much you need, be it great or small, HE CAN MAKE IT ENOUGH AND EVEN HAVE EXTRA.
Are you willing to follow him? Are you willing to trust him? Has he ever let you down? He had to remind his 12 disciples of the miracles he had done in the past. Can you think of any times that he provided for you when you didn't see a way possible?
Jesus,
Thank you that you are trying to get us to understand that if we are seeking you more than food or anything else in life, you will provide for us. Thank you that you can take a little and make it much. Thank you that you can take care of a lot of people with a little. Help us to give the "bread"... (money) (situations) (problems) (relationships) that we have, to you and let you work miracles with it. Thank you that you can and will do great things for us when we look to you instead of ourselves.
You are awesome. In Your name we pray, Amen
